BRAVEST WARRIORS!

Have you been watching Bravest Warriors? Well, you should. Because it's really fun and has some really amazing people working on it...like me.

I painted each and every one of these. Drawing credit goes out to the awesome team of designers that all worked hard on this show to help make it awesome. Hopefully I made them all proud!

Bravest Warriors

So for the last few months I have been working on a new cartoon hangover show, created by Pen Ward, called Bravest Warriors.

I am super grateful to be a part of this glorious masterpiece. It premieres every Thursday on YouTube (subscribe to it!), or you can just click the link below to watch the latest episode.

I will be posting more from the show soon!

Brickleberry

I do believe I painted this entire scene- background, props, and characters! We were all pretty happy with how the show turned out, it was a lot of fun to work on and the creators were great to work with. It airs September 25- right after the Tosh.0 premiere.

Some more BG Paintings...

these are some more backgrounds that I painted.

Herman

this is the initial rough sketch and color that was submitted for approval.

this is after I've made the armature, sculpted the foam, wrapped the maquette in foam tape and had begun the latex process. this was probably my favorite part of the whole process. I had never used these materials before for this purpose and it was really fun to figure it all out.

that little head is a prototype for one of the other maquettes we were making. this photo was during the painting process.

painting is all done! just taking him in to the studio to do a couple finishing touches and turn him in!

this was a really fun project to work on and I learned a lot- so grateful I had this opportunity!

Robot Chicken & Friends Present...

If you are in the LA area, this is a show you do not want to miss. It features animation artists from stop motion, cg and 2D. I have two brand new pieces in the show. So come on down and do what you can to support our community and a good cause!

All proceeds will go to the family of one of my dearest friends, whose brother fell very ill about two months ago from a rare bacteria. You can read more about his story and ways to donate here: http://www.youcaring.com/fundraiser_details?fundraiser_id=2226&url=steven

Tropical paradise

I just finished this one and wanted to post it. it features a bird. yet again. sigh, I know, I know. some day I'll do another painting without a bird in it. but probably not anytime soon. don't judge me based on my bird obsession.

it feels like time for a holiday

I realize that spring is upon us and I have no business posting holiday themed artwork at this time of year, but I'm doing it anyway. this was all stuff I did while feeling that holiday spirit. also, I think it's obvious at this point that I really love birds. they are just so happy? and so patronizing with that happiness. I hate them. or maybe I just hate that I love them so much. it's all very confusing.

hungry hungry hippo

this hippo doesn't like to share.

allygator

I feel like this could be a window into my soul. or maybe it's just an alligator holding a bunny. either way, I decided to share it with the internet.

buck & millie

I was so honored to do this logo and production title card for the wonderful Jim Dauterive...and it turned out beautiful!

gross bathroom.

here's something I painted.

entourage

These were created for an animated short on the series Entourage.

bob's burgers font

Yep, I made the font for Bob's Burgers...I created the alphabet based on the original design for his restaurant sign. This font was implemented mid season (season one).

more bob's burgers!

Here's a couple of backgrounds I did while working on the show...these are pretty random, but I like 'em.

bob's burgers part deux

It's a gopher! I didn't draw this one, my awesome friend Dave Creek did...I just got to color him (and his anus). He debuted in Art Crawl.

bob's burgers!

Here are some props and random things I created for Bob's while working on season one. The show was very successful, and we are all grateful to all of you who watched and supported us! Working there was a great experience and I am so glad I got to work with everyone there.
